Students from Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski” will study from the learning platform of “Sport for All”

Four courses of students majoring in “Physical Education” at the University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski” will be trained in the discipline “Sports Animation for the Disabled” in the academic year 2020/2021. In these classes, students will learn skills to conduct sports activities with people with disabilities, to enrich their free time and turn sports into unforgettable experiences.

The most important for the preparation of young people are the teaching materials in the platform created under the project “Sport for All”, funded by the Erasmus + Sport Program, and of which Plovdiv University was the coordinator. The study sections broaden the horizons of students and give a new perspective on sports and its impact on social life. For them, as athletes, the skills of training and communicating with people with disabilities are a new area. This knowledge has so far been outside their program. In the database created by the project, students will find familiar sports, sports techniques and exercises adapted to work with people with different abilities. The training materials developed under the project provide young professionals with advice and guidance in accessible language.

The training in “Sports Animation for the Disabled” opens the door wide to different areas of sports, including sports activities for people with different abilities and provides a field for realization and development of young people.
